Thank you to everyone who donated candy to our Halloween Candy Buyback this year! When we work together we can make a difference – every little bit helps.
We had the pleasure of visiting our local MEPS office (Military Entrance Processing Station) and delivering almost 200 pounds of candy, 80 sweet notes from local children, and 288 toothbrushes and 396 tubes of toothpaste from our vendors Crest, Henry Schein, and Sensodyne.
Make A Difference
Your treats will not only be a little something sweet for troops serving overseas to enjoy but also to welcome those who are enlisting at various locations in Michigan and military members, veterans and their family members visiting the DTW Freedom Centers in Detroit Metropolitan Airport as they travel through our area. A little sugar sure goes a long way!
Volunteer Gary H, a 22-year veteran of the United States Army, graciously helped unload all the candy and supplies. He took a moment to pose for us along with all the sweet treats. Thank you to all service members who make a difference by serving to support our community and our nation.
