Cavities. We’ve all heard of them (and some of us may even have had them!), but what exactly are they? Simply put, a cavity is a small opening or hole in a tooth caused by decay.
Cavities are permanent damage and can grow bigger with time. They can sometimes cause sensitivity or leave a black, brown or white stain on the tooth. However, it may be difficult to tell.
The best way to prevent and treat cavities is with regular checkups at the dentist and daily brushing and flossing.
