Shelf Life

With normal use, a toothbrush’s lifespan is 3-4 months. If bristles become frayed or worn, sooner is recommended.

Soft Bristles for the Win

Medium or Firm bristles can damage your gums and enamel.

Let It Breathe

After using your toothbrush, rinse it with tap water to remove any leftover toothpaste or debris. Place it upright to allow it to air dry to avoid the growth of unhealthy bacteria.

Allow Some Space

Make sure you allow for some separation between toothbrushes if stored together to prevent cross-contamination.

Never Share Your Toothbrush

Share a toothbrush and you’re sharing the germs and bacteria in someone else’s mouth. A firm no here.

Check for The Seal

The American Dental Association (ADA) seal will insure the integrity of your toothbrush as it has been evaluated so that bristles won’t fall out and the handle is strong.

If you’d like recommendations on toothbrushes and if manual or powered is the right fit, we’d love to help. Ask at your next dental appointment and we can help advise as to which is the best fit for you.
