We love this! We put out the call once again to collect donated Halloween candy to share with our troops during our annual Halloween Candy Buyback and you all came through… and then some!
Annual Candy Buyback – How Sweet It Is!
We accepted 174 pounds of donated candy but that wasn’t all! Students at Schoolcraft Elementary and our patients shared over 80 notes and drawing to send along with all those sweet to our troops. One classroom alone donated 50 pounds!
For every pound of candy we collected, we paid $1 to those donating. Some of our generous patients chose to pay their $1/pound for candy forward and donated it to our Toys for Tots drive – that’s a $48 head start for our holiday drive!
Don’t Forget To Brush
And our vendors even pulled through for this one. Henry Schein, Sensodyne, and Crest all chipped and donated 288 toothbrushes and 396 tubes of toothpaste. Thank you to everyone who took part in our annual Halloween Candy Buyback. What a great way to kick off this season of giving!
